Community art is a passion of hers and Debbie has been involved in the planning and organization of a range of polymer clay community projects.

Debbie Crothers

Debbie Crother’s passion has always been teaching. She believes teaching using polymer clay is pretty close to heavenly!! The medium is incredibly visual and Debbie thinks that is what creates the excitement for her – sharing what she’s discovered is such a fulfilling experience – nothing else really compares.

Debbie loves to experiment with polymer clay – it seems an endless, exciting journey. She generally doesn’t plan out her work – most of it seems to fall into place, or evolves from one project to the next. The evolution of a polymer design for Debbie is an outcome of the continuation of play and experimentation.

Though not formally trained, Debbie has been creating art and craft and teaching for about 12 years, the last 6 of those with polymer clay. She’s attended polymer workshops with some of the world’s best, both here in Australia and in the US, but she is primarily self-taught. Community art is a passion of hers and Debbie has been involved in the planning and organization of a range of polymer clay community projects, all of which have had hugely successful outcomes.
