Meet Susan K. Weckesser, the founder and owner of Susan K. Weckesser Inc. Susan has been teaching, selling crafts and painting for twenty-six years. She also is a freelance writer/designer, editor, photographer and poet. Her work has been published with the magazines Canadian Scrapbooker, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook News & Review, Canadian Parent & Canadian Living. Her designs have also appeared in the Sketches 2 Scrapbook application. Susan’s freelance writing has also appeared in several Northern Alberta newspapers throughout the years, before which she wrote and illustrated children’s literature and her poetry has appeared in several anthologies. 

Susan loves to take a whimsical approach to her artwork be it photography, watercolors, mixed media, or working with fibers. She enjoys mixing mediums and brings unusual color combinations to her work table. Susan is known for her water color and panpastel techniques where she is know to work in multiple layers create a magical end result.

Susan attended the University of Alberta where she studied Fine Arts & Languages. Susan has served on the Board of Directors for The Writers Guild of Alberta and was part of the Arts Council of Whitecourt. Susan developed & taught craft classes, painting, & drama for children in schools and community. Susan’s artwork has been seen on display over the years at different events & galleries. She loves the Christmas Love Campaign that she started to help promote love amongst artists. Her new product lines can be bought at several stores, Unity Stamp Co. and online at her Etsy store.
