Caren grew up spending lots of time in the kitchen, making cakes with her mother and grandmother, but her first love was painting flowers and designs. That love became her inspiration to become a cake decorator and teacher where she transforms her skills in painting flowers into creating cake designs.

Caren has been teaching cake decorating for a number of years and strives to encourage her students to have fun learning to decorate their cakes. Her students have ranged from youngsters new to cake decorating to adults who are excited to learn more advanced techniques. She is excited about extending her teaching even further by creating on-line classes.

Caren studied baking in a culinary arts program where the courses covered all aspects of production baking and cake decorating. She is also trained in the Wilton method of cake decoration and creates her own designs.
