Teardrop Tiles Bracelet with Sandy Huntress

Create this tile bracelet with its pretty sculpted scene. In this class, you'll learn to blend clays to create the nested tiles. Then you'll learn to create the branches, flowers and bird for the scenic embellishment. Finally you'll put the bracelet together with beads and elastic cord.

Class Materials List

• Polymer clay in colors of your choice for tiles (can be scraps) a total of 2 1/2-3 ounces is needed
• Scraps of clay in browns for branches, color of your choice for flowers, greens for leaves and color of your choice for bird
• Small amount of pearl clay
• Transparent Liquid Sculpey (TLS) or other liquid clay
• 6 2mm Swarovski hot fix flat back crystals (one for each flower center)
• 20 4mm Swarovski crystal bicones or 4mm beads to match bracelet
• Burnt Umber acrylic paint
• Golden's Artist Colors paint in Iridescent Pearl (fine) and Interference Gold (fine)
• 2 12-inch pieces stretch cord for jewelry
• 2 10-inch pieces of craft wire, 20 gauge or so
• wet wipes (baby wipes)

Tools:
• acrylic roller
• 3/4-inch x 1 1/2-inch (22mm x 38mm) teardrop shaped cutter (found in this set)
• clay blade
• needle tool
• 1/8-inch thick ruler, such as used in quilting (like this one)
• 2 1.5 mm stainless steel rods, at least 10 inches long (I used these mandrels for making lampwork beads)
• toothpick
• small ball tool
• Christie Friesen's Can't Live Without It tool (optional)
• 3/16-inch teardrop cutter and 3/16-inch circle cutter, from this set
• 1/16-inch drill bit
• paint brush
• clay shaper or smoother
• masking tape
