Elvira studied Ceramics and Sculpture in Barcelona Spain and taught jewelry technique workshops. She has written books and been featured in magazines and books. She has written an article for Art Jewelry Magazine and is currently writing a book about costume jewelry for Kalmbach Publishing.

Elvira Lopez del Prado

Elvira’s ceramics and sculpture training had a great influence on her work. Most of her work exhibits some element of sculpture. She has experimented with a variety of art forms that continue to exert their influences on her work in beading. She has experience with photography, painting and poetry that also contribute to her jewelry design. She works with a variety of materials, wire, felt, polymer clay and paper because she is very curious and loves to experiment.

Elvira studied Ceramics and Sculpture in Barcelona Spain and taught herself jewelry techniques. She has taught jewelry technique workshops in her studio in Barcelona for the last 8 years. Elvira has also written books while living in Spain, Bisuteria 2007 and Fieltro 2008 as well as Parramon ediciones. She has been featured in the magazine Polymer CAFÉ , Art Jewelry magazine, From Polymer to Art magazine and in the book Rings by Nicolas Estrada (Promo press Barcelona, Spain). She has written an article for Art Jewelry Magazine and is currently writing a book about costume jewelry for Kalmbach Publishing.
