Heather Campbell

Heather considers her work an extension of life experience, designed with complexity while remaining beautifully simple. Visualizing each piece as an experience unto itself, she considers shape, color, texture and dimension while infusing mood and uniqueness. She uses the language of Art to encourage conversation, independent thought and an appreciation for beauty and creativity. Sharing her passion for mixed media and polymer clay with others is deeply satisfying and rewarding.

As Heather’s work has evolved over the years, she has developed a unity between assemblage, mixed media and polymer clay. Problem solving while melding these art forms together has inspired new techniques such as Faux Batik, Poly Fiber Masking and Sand Paper Poly Peel. These sturdy backgrounds provide stability and uniqueness for Heather. Integrating inks, antiquing and transfers, along with found objects help to define her style which she refers to as "Bohemian Nouveau."
