Inger’s skills have expanded to cover a range of fiber. Each day brings her new joy in creating. She loves what she does, as well as sharing the knowledge she has built up over the years.

Inger Maaike

Inger Maaike’s medium is fiber. All kinds of fiber: from silk to leather, from cotton to wool and everything in between.

Inger sews clothes from her own designs, knit on her very old and trusty knitting machine (again designing everything herself), felt luxurious scarves and home decor, spin yarn, dye fabric, silk and wool and has even been seen to construct leather boots, which she still wears to this day.

Over the years, Inger’s skills have expanded to cover a range of fiber, which gives her the chance to combine and expand the knowledge further with each passing moment. Each day brings her new joy in creating. She loves what she does, as well as sharing the knowledge she has built up over the years.

In all of her endeavours, one thing has always been the main focus: the very best materials. This is what drove her to start creating for herself: Inger could not afford what she desired, so there was no option but to learn to make it herself. Experimentation and following her own instincts is how she makes and learns. She uses anything that comes on her path - materials, imagery, nature.
